Xbox 360 $99 Bundle Subsidised By Monthly Two-Year Subscription

According to an anonymous source, Microsoft could be planning to launch an Xbox 360 4GB Console with Kinect Bundle for a bargain price of just $99 that will be subsidised by a $15 a month subscription. This adds up to a total cost of $459 over the usual cost price of $419 over the two years the subscription is paid for, which includes the price of a two-year Xbox Live Gold subscription.

The rumour comes from The Verge, who cite the mysterious source, who also notes that the $99 console would be covered by a two-year warranty. Payable across two years, the $15 a month subscription would be subject to an early cancellation fee, but it could still prove a tempting prospect for anyone looking to buy an Xbox 360 with Kinect on the cheap.

Apparently the deal also includes additional streaming content from cable providers and sports package providers, and would provide a low cost way for consumers to get an Xbox 360 in their home. "We don't discuss plans about our pricing, and we've made no announcements", Microsoft told Shacknews in response to the rumour.
