Downloading Games

So I've got the movie downloads down. I've even figured out how to get hundreds of free games for my DS and phone but has anyone ever downloaded games for the Xbox 360 or PS3. I haven't done much research on this but I've heard of people getting banned for 360 games. Thoughts, advice, warnings?

Don't even try it, not to be mean or anything. Trust me on Nov. 4 if your console has ever played a pirated game you will be banned from xbox live. They are swinging the ban hammer down right before black ops comes out so no one can pirate it.

That's what I've heard but the big question is can they tell if you switch offline and use a different hard drive. I'm going to do my research today about all systems and have a full report soon.

trust me they can tell if you have or not, in order to play a modded game you need a flashed xbox which is going to be easily traceable pretty soon.

I've got an extra HD and 360 I never use so I might try it on that just for fun but honestly everything I do on the xbox I play online as well so the PS3 might be the system I need to focus on.

Well it's actually really easy. I can mod my other 360 and as long as I never sign onto Xbox Live and I use a different HD then I'm set but all the achievements will be lost which sucks. I can never plug the HD into the other system because Microsoft can pick up the saved games and be able to tell that I modded. So if you guys just want to try a game go for it but I'll stick to renting/buying/borrowing them.

As your friendly xbox live moderator i am ere to tell you that playing downloaded or pirated games is illegal and yes we can tell there is a license built into the disc that CANNOT be ripped and printed (hence ms requiring special discs) it is a ip bannable offence

look dont listen to wat everone hear says i got a buddy whos been burning games since mw2 an hasnt got banned jus dont PLAY A GAME B4 IT COMES OUT an they dont kno ...he has black ops, fable3, fallout new vegas, and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood...he even has burned kinect games so u wont get banned...i was just over his house yesterday...he downloads a new like everyday

it is possible to play them online and not get into trouble
BUT as i could prove to gun if he or his friend wanted to take the gamble playing a burn game can be noticed by a monitor

wrong answer. . . I dont play xbox anymore. . . I dont feel like paying microsoft a damn penny more than I already have for the 4th system that got the RLOD. How does XBOX justify charging people to do the EXACT same thing PSN offers???!!

Paul Allen the co founder is the majority stock holder and the rest is a publicly traded company bill gates only gains residual income from his original investment

he plays online on every game i played kinect sports online(burned game)...not saying ur a lair just that the likeliness of getting caught is the same as u banning us...im jus sayin if u got 2 xboxs an wanna save sum money why not least thats goin to happen is one consol gets banned not ur gamertag

Yeah people have the misconceptions that they can police the internet and console gaming but in todays world that's just not possible. There are ways around everything and there will always be.
